This is a poem about a feeling that’s engulfing me Snuffling the flame that burns within my heart, my soul A flame that once burnt so brightly it could light up the sky But now only smoulders remain as a reminder of the past A pathetic smoulder of something which used to be me Back when my spirit was unbroken and whole This broken piece of a puzzle I have become A missing piece that can never be found For it has been forever lost to the past Irretrievable, irreplaceable.
